We are preparing for lambing to begin around February 20 this year, and one of the items on our list is vaccinations for all the pregnant ewes so they can confer immunity to their newborn lambs. Today was our second of two vaccination days.

Lolo and Lisa moving the ewes into the corrals.

Waiting for their shots, left to right: One of our pregnant Corriedale ewe-lambs, a Romney ewe, and Cousin, a 5-year-old East Friesian.

Billie Jean stands on her hind legs and frolics whenever she sees Lisa. But given that she is expecting, Lisa is trying to turn down the hijinks a bit. Billie Jean is one of our 3 East Friesian ewe lambs who were bred to Dale, the Corriedale ram.

OK, I’m taking bets…how many lambs does Maddie have in there?
