This dark-grey sport-weight yarn was spun for us by The Wool Mill in Belgrade, Montana, from the fleeces of our white Cormo ram Perry and our black 75% Cormo ram, Princeling. After Mendocino Wool & Fiber in Ukiah closed down, we needed to find another mill that can spin yarn from our fine Cormo fleeces, and we are so happy with what LaVonne at The Wool Mill has done with this yarn. We will be going back to her for more yarn in a range of natural colors from our Cormo sheep.
This yarn is a dark grey derived from blending the white and black fleeces. It is 2-ply, 310 yards per 3.5-oz skein. Gauge: 5.5 stitches/inch on size 5 to 7 needles.
