Fangs: Grey Romney Raw Fleece

This is the hogget fleece from our recessive-colored Romney ewe, Fangs. Fangs got her name because of the distinctive white markings on her bottom lip that look like fangs. These are a hallmark of the “light blue” recessive color gene, and Fang’s fleece is a perfect example of a light-blue fleece, with patches of lighter and darker color. Fang’s ranges from pearly light-grey to medium grey. It is soft, with lovely Romney crimp and luster. It was protected with a coat, has been well-skirted and is very clean. It has a staple length of 6 to 7 inches. Skirted weight of the full fleece is 6.7 pounds, and I am selling it as a full fleece only. Price $18/lb.
