DK Weight Thelma Lou, Gladys & Pip: Hand-Dyed with Scabiosa Flowers Dye Lot 2

This DK-weight yarn was spun for us by Mendocino Wool Mill in Ukiah, CA, from the fleeces from our Romney ewes Thelma Lou and Gladys, and Gladys’s daughter Pip. I mordanted the yarn and dyed it to a cheerful spring green with scabiosa flowers grown by Melinda on our ranch. 2-ply, 200 yards per 3.25 oz skein. Gauge: 5.5 stitches/inch on size 5 to 7 needles. (Note: this is a new dye lot, not the same as the Scabiosa-dyed yarn that was on sale last year.)
