DK Weight Thelma Lou, Gladys & Pip: Hand-Dyed with Hollyhock

So I dyed this yarn with the gorgeous deep-purple petals from our black hollyhock flowers, which are meant to give a lovely blue or blue-green. I was disappointed with the mossy grey-green result, but I have to say it looks lovely as a counterpoint to the yellows I have on offer right now from Mexican marigold, dandelion and weld, so I thought I would put this skein up for sale. The DK-weight yarn was spun for us by Mendocino Wool Mill in Ukiah, CA, from the fleeces from our Romney ewes Thelma Lou and Gladys, and Gladys’s daughter Pip.  2-ply, 200 yards per 3.25 oz skein. Gauge: 5.5 stitches/inch on size 5 to 7 needles.
