Fingering Weight Medium Grey Corriedale Yarn: Nora & Olive

This very soft fingering-weight yarn was spun for us by Mendocino Wool Mill in Ukiah, CA, from the blended fleeces of our black Corriedale ewe, Olive, and her white flock mate, Nora. It is a medium grey color, with a bit of warmth (brownish) in its tone. We used more of Nora than Olive in this mix, so the yarn is significantly lighter in tone than last year’s Olive & Fog. The fleeces were blended at carding, so the yarn is a uniform color. 440 yards per 4 oz skein. Gauge: 6-8 stitches/inch on size 2 to 4 needles.
