Aran-weight 2-ply Romney Yarn: Swiss Miss, Choco & Tap

This yarn was spun for us by Valley Oak Wool Mill in Woodland, CA, from fleeces from our recessive-colored Romney ewes, Swiss Miss, Choco and Tap. I was trying to duplicate the natural oatmeal color of last season’s “Swiss Miss” yarn, and I came close. This run is oatmeal, but a bit more toward grey than taupe. It is also a bit lighter-weight than last year’s “Swiss Miss,”  at 5 ounces per 200-yard skein.
