Single-ply Worsted-weight Romney Yarn: Thelma Lou and Chuck

This soft yarn was spun for us by Valley Oak Wool Mill in Woodland, CA, from the fleeces of our Romney ewe Thelma Lou and our Romney ram, Chuck.

Thelma Lou has the longest and finest fleece in our Romney flock. Marcail at Valley Oak combined her lustrous curls with Chuck’s soft fleece to make this creamy Lopi-style yarn.

It is a natural white, single-ply, 3.75 ounces per 200-yard skein.

Gauge: 4 to 5 stitches/inch on size 7 to 9 needles.
